About Aihole
Aihole also known as Ayyavole or Aryapura is a major Archaeological site featuring over one Hundred and Twenty Stone and Cave Temples spread along the Malaprabha river valley, in Bagalakote district, Karnataka state. Aihole was once a center of Architectural experiments by several gifted artisans and the city is blessed with several beautifully crafted places of worship.

Durga Temple - Dedicated to Lord Vishnu
Ladh Khan Temple - This monument is evidence of the experimental nature of Chalukyan temple architecture.
Meguti Temple - this temple is one of the earliest examples of the Dravidian style of architecture.
Ravanphadi Cave - Ravanaphadi Cave is a 6th-century rock-cut Aihole Cave Temples housing Shiva and Parvathi.
Hucchimalli Temple - dedicated to Lord Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.
Gowda Temple - dedicated to the Goddess Bhagavathi.
Suryanarayana Temple - It is especially famous for a 2 feet tall statue of Surya along with Usha and Sandhya, his consorts.
Konti Group of Temples - It is famous for exquisite panels of Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu on the ceiling, and draws a footfall of several thousand every year.
